Ludivine RIFFAULT-VALOIS obtained her PhD in Phytochemistry at the University of Orléans under the supervision of Prof. Claire Elfakir, where she stayed one more year after her PhD defense as a postdoctoral fellow. Then, she worked in the group of Prof. Sylvie Michel at the University of Paris Descartes in the Pharmacognosy team as Temporary Associate Professor for one year, to develop efficient methods for the analysis of bioactive natural products. Since 2016, she is an Associate Professor of Analytical Chemistry at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Strasbourg and obtained her Accreditation to supervise research (HDR) in 2024. She leads several research projects dealing with bioactive natural products from plant and fungi, involving particularly liquid chromatography coupled with high resolution mass spectrometry in the context of metabolomics approaches. Research topics • Development of analytical methods (HPLC, UHPLC, GC, HPTLC) for the analysis of complex mixtures from natural source, mainly in the field of plant natural products • Development of biological activity assays and innovative hyphenated analytical techniques • Identification of natural products using HRMS, dereplication strategies and molecular networking
