Biographie

I am an evolutionary biologist working in the Dept. of Ecology, Physiology and Ethology of the Institut Pluridisciplinaire Hubert Curien, CNRS. My work is situated at the interface of behavioral ecology and ecophysiology. My students, collaborators and I have a keen interest in understanding the evolution of group living and how social x genetic influences shape individual phenotypes. We use a mix of correlative and experimental approaches in the wild, and study mostly (but not only) colonial model systems both in mammals and birds. Our work is carried out both in the Northern and Southern hemisphere - getting pecked at by penguins in the sub-Antarctic Islands, or pooped on by squirrels in the Canadian Rockies.
